My fascination for letter forms began in my early teens when I was first exposed to graffiti through a friend. I was just another bored kid in the suburbs of Miami, Florida and the energy of Hip Hop culture was my cure. Cut to art school, NYC 1994... the Mac and Carson's Raygun woke up the type beast fueling new forms to express myself through. After a short stint designing faces for a small foundry Stereo Type Haus was launched in 2000 by myself and Alana Medina. Alana was a partner until 2003 when she realized tweeking nodes and metrics really wasnt her bag, and interior design was. After a year or so on hiatus, STH is back again featuring a streamlined catalog along with some new designs.
